High Tech Grower
Affiliate Disclosure
High Tech Grower is free to read and supported in part by affiliate relationships and, occasionally, sponsored content. This page explains how both work and what they do — and don't — influence.
Affiliate links
Some product links on this site — in articles, in "Shop the Idea" sections, on collection and shop pages — are affiliate links. If you click one and make a purchase, High Tech Grower may earn a commission from the retailer or manufacturer, at no additional cost to you. We mark affiliate products with a small "Affiliate" label wherever they appear.
High Tech Grower originals
Some products are our own — designed, made, or curated by High Tech Grower and sold through Payhip. These are labeled "High Tech Grower" rather than "Affiliate," since no third party is involved in the sale.
Recommended and reviewed products
Where we recommend or review a product without an affiliate relationship attached, we label it "Recommended" or "Reviewed." The distinction matters to us even when it doesn't change the commission structure, because we want it to always be clear whether a recommendation came with a financial incentive attached.
Sponsored content
Occasionally, a vendor or organization may sponsor a feature, collection, or placement on the site. Sponsored content is always labeled clearly — as a "Sponsored Feature," "Partner Spotlight," or similar — and is never disguised as independent editorial coverage.
The line we don't cross
Commerce should support discovery, not control editorial judgment. A manufacturer or partner can pay for visibility — a placement, a spotlight, a mention. They cannot purchase a favorable conclusion. If we've reviewed something and don't like it, we say so, sponsorship or not.
Electric Fertilizer and EGA
High Tech Grower occasionally links to Electric Fertilizer and the Energetic Growers Academy (EGA), sister properties covering electrical and energetic approaches to plant growth in more depth. These links are editorial, not paid placements, and appear only where the connection is directly relevant to the article at hand.
